David W. Brewer, Ph.D., has been a naturalist all his life. He retired from academia in 2006, and formed DWBrewer Imaging in January 2007. He completed five post-doctoral courses in photography and has been an active nature photographer since 1968. He changed mediums from film to digital in 2002. He specializes in nature photography, capturing the beauty of the natural world. He volunteers his photographic skills in support of various conservation agencies, including the Illinois and Wisconsin Departments of Natural Resources, the Cooperative Wildlife Research Laboratory at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois, the Southern Illinois Photographic Society, the Little Egypt Arts Association, and Cypress Creek National Wildlife Refuge. He has published articles and/or images in BIRDS & BLOOMS and OUDOORS ILLINOIS magazines. In addition to producing custom prints of his images, he conducts digital imaging workshops and presentations.
